A trip along the Thames is like looking at London's family photograph album. You see the young and the old, the churches and the offices, the smart and the grungy. The boat trip from the Embankment to Greenwich is one of the best in the world; I've done it loads of times and there's always something new to see.
On arrival in Greenwich - which is a World Heritage Site - definitely have a look around the many attractions, like the Royal Observatory and the new Planetarium. If you fancy a drink and a bite to eat, head up the hill to the Greenwich Union pub.
For a real hoot, jump aboard the London Duck Tour; this marvellous amphibious motor can travel on land and water.best seeing
Not many people realise that London's actually tied together by canals. They're not always immediately visible, which makes them lovely and peaceful. They're the perfect escape from bustling crowds. The canal trip from Little Venice is beautiful – talk about how the other half live! You'll wind up at Camden, which is perfect for visiting the markets.bars an resturants
I'm definitely a walker and enjoy organised tours. My favourite's the Jack The Ripper Tour. As much as I love the glamour of the Thames and Regent's Canal, I'm also a big fan of London's darker, macabre side. For a particularly gruesome treat, I take myself off to the London Dungeon too. It's said to be haunted for real! A little tip here - if you've got the option, avoid visiting the dungeon during the school holidays, the queues are huge.peopple from all over the world,
If I crave a breath of fresh air, I head to Wimbledon. It's lovely to wander round leafy Wimbledon Common, and I love the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis
